Experience : 3 – 8 Years

Job Description

SQL DBA

1-3 Years of Experience : -

Basic Knowledge on Windows 2000/2003 OS
Good Knowledge on RDBMS concepts
SQL Server and Service Pack Installation
Database Creation
Complete Knowledge on SQL Server Process Architecture.
Basic Windows Scripting
Basic Performance Tuning (Database and SQL Tuning)
Basic Knowledge of T-SQL
Basic Knowledge on SQL Server Utilities (DTS, BCP, SQL Mail, Maintenance Wizards etc…)
Knowledge on SQL Server Network setup and administration
Basic knowledge of SQL Server security and logins
Basic knowledge on Backup and Recovery Model.

3-6 Years of Experience : -

Please include 1-3 Years of experience expertise + below mentioned skills
Good Knowledge of Microsoft Cluster
Good knowledge of SQL Server Active/Active, Active/Passive Cluster
Good Knowledge on SQL Server Upgrades
High level knowledge on T-SQL
Excellent Knowledge and exposure on SQL Server utilities (DTS, BCP, Query Analyzer, etc..)
High level expertise on Database Tuning, Optimization and SQL tuning (using SQL Profiler etc..)
Advanced knowledge on Backup and Recovery Models
Familiar with few Monitoring Tools (like Microsoft Operations Manager, HP OV)
Knowledge of Linked Server, SQL Server Replication
Knowledge on debugging Windows Event logs
Comfortable with Designing database. Familiar with E-R Diagram Models and tools (E-R Win, Power Designer etc).

6+ Years of Experience : -

Please include 1-3 Years, 3-6 Years of Experience + below mentioned skills
Advanced Performance Tuning (Analyzing Profiler output, Explain Plan etc).
Advanced Windows Scripting and automation
Advanced Knowledge on Windows and SQL Server Cluster (Troubleshooting, Knowledge on various environments)
Good knowledge on Advanced features like MSDTC, Microsoft Search, Full Text Indexing etc..
Knowledge on Disaster Recovery planning and setup.
Excellent knowledge on Replication and Distributed Systems
Excellent knowledge on Upgrades and Migration
Good knowledge on SQL Server Analysis Services
