Job Description

Requirement Capture which includes gathering functional requirement, determining / prioritizing business requirements , facilitate requirements sign off

Design which includes high level design, low level design, facilitate design sign off

Development and integration which includes setting up configuration management, developing components, peer review, creating unit test plans and performing unit testing

QA / Testing which includes creating system / integration / performance test plan, performing system / integration / performance testing, defect tracking, root cause analysis of defects, support user acceptance testing (UAT), facilitate UAT sign off

Deploy / Implementation which includes drafting implementation plan, drafting delivery note, implementing / supporting go-live, facilitate implementation sign off
Support / Maintenance which includes identifying / working on change requests (CRs), identifying / fixing defects, adhering to Service Level Agreements defined

JDE Techncial – Analyst

Job Description

Oracle ( JDE/Peoplesoft) Service line is part of Enterprise Applications domain along with SAP, CRM and other Enterprise applications.
The JDE/Peoplsoft streams started in Deloitte India in Nov’ 2002 and the practice includes highly experienced JDEdwards Enterpriseone, JDEdwards World and Peoplesoft Enterprise professionals.Current Team strength is 85 and it is growing rapidly. We have provided over 300,000 hours of Client service work delivered in the areas of remote development, application maintenance and onsite implementation work. We have worked in Consumer Business, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Technology Media & Communication and Real Estate industry verticals.

An employee is a vital link in the whole delivery chain and performs a key role in delivering valuable services and solutions to our clients. The role offers beginners a wide exposure to the IT consulting environment and provides insight to business processes across industry verticals, industry-wide best practices on offshore delivery model and onsite project implementation and grooms individuals for higher responsible roles. The job involves understanding the project specific requirements and assisting the Team Lead in providing time bound quality deliverables to clients

Candidates should possess the followings skills:
Should have 1.5-4 years of total IT experience.
Minimum 1.5 years on JDE
Exposure to onsite-offshore model will be an added advantage.
Should be BE / BTech / BSc / BCA / MCA / MCM
Should possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

The candidate will be assisting in software development, software testing and support. The candidate will follow client/firm specific methodologies for process compliance and software quality assurance
Should have familiarity with development tools to effectively use them and suggest improvements to enhance/develop them
The candidate will be assisting in documenting technical specifications for RICE( Report,Inetrfaces, Conversions, Enhancements) components, test cases, work instructions, reference documents and knowledge deliverables in consultation with the team lead
The candidate will demonstrate a good understanding of software development process, business processes and service level models and agreements
The candidate will demonstrate a good understanding of architecture / standards / design / program specifications. The candidate will document any deviations and suggest improvements for any gaps in the program specifications.

Additonal Information

The candidate is expected to have good understanding of programming standards and software development life cycle
The candidate should have good analytical skills and be a keen learner. Should demonstrate the flexibility to work on different objects/technologies
Ability to assimilate new knowledge and learning
The candidate should possess good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact and liaison with client, other team members and team leads
Ability to relate client requirements to ERP solution in interaction with ERP delivery team.
