General Instructions for Candidates :

To participate in counseling, it is mandatory for every candidate to register himself/herself on the counseling website http://tehadmissions.gov.in as per the counseling schedule shown in the website.

Candidates could register themselves from the premises of the Participating Institutions (PIs) without payment of any charges or from any Internet point of their choice.

Before registration, every candidate, irrespective to his/her category, will have to deposit counseling fee (in cash only) in any of the computerized banking solution branch of Punjab National Bank from anywhere in the country in Account of HSCS (A/C No. 0087001100000306) and keep the counter foil to show at the time of admission.

For successful registration, Candidates shall have to provide the following information correctly as per the Admit Card. Candidate Roll No.,Application No.,Candidate Name ,Date of Birth.

On registration, your Roll No shall be used as your User ID and Password as given by yourself, which is to be used in future logins. After successful registration, you should get confirmation message, In case if you will not get the confirmation message then please re-register yourself.

Candidates are advised in their own interest to remember this Password and keep it highly confidential, to avoid misuse by another candidate, for which HSCS shall not be responsible.

Forgot Password option will help to re-generate the forgotten Password.

After successful login, candidate’s home page will be opened and following options are available.
a) Registration Details
b) Edit Registration Details
c) Available Choices
d) Fill Choices
e) Display Filled Choices.
f) Change Password
g) Indicative Seat
h) Provisional Allotment Letter -
Registration Details are important for allotment of seats and should be filled carefully. Verify registration details and make changes if required using Edit Registration Details option Once you confirm your registration details you are not allowed to change them further.

Choice Filling: You can fill/modify/delete choices of institute and courses using Fill Choice option during the choice filling period as mentioned in the counseling schedule. Once the choice filling period is over, choice filled by the candidate shall be considered as final and no change will be permitted.

Choice Locking: Choice Locking is Necessary For Seat Allotment (Except For Diploma Engineering (DET) and Mock Counselling. The Option For Choice Locking and Un-Locking is available Under “Display Filled Choices” option.

Allotment: After the choice filling period is over, all filled choices of all registered candidates will be considered for allotment of seats as per merit (Rank) and category of the candidates. The result of the allotment of seats will be published on the website as per schedule. The allotment is purely provisional and subject to verification of originals etc.

The candidates are required to report to their respective allotted institutions within the specified period (as per the counseling schedule) along with the documents/testimonials/certificates/proof of deposition of counseling fee in the designated bank and non-refundable admission fee as prescribed in the prospectus.

If candidates are not reporting within the above period, their allotted seats will be cancelled and the candidate will not have any claim of the seat whatsoever.
