DCS IT Construction PM – 558611
Description
In this position, you will be responsible for managing the IT scope, schedule, and budget of Intel construction projects including CPA commitments, P100 design phase, schedule development and management, construction implementation, conformance to safety standards, and eventual transition to IT Services. The role will require travel to other sites in Asia Region. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Forecasting engineering support requirements, value engineering, continuous improvement in the areas of quality, material selection, cost control and project documentation, and coordinating with other Corporate Services disciplines to ensure IT requirements are met
- Supporting multiple project sites, but will be based in Bangalore India
- Participating in each phase of the project (Programming, Design, Implementation and Close-out); utilizing IT processes and standards; consulting and verifying customer requirements to develop project Scope Of Work (SOW); estimating project cost and schedule requirements; forming and leading an IT workgroup (ITWG)
- Managing and accountable for project costs; be the point of contact for project communications
- Managing project change control process
- Responsible for project safety
- Managing project uncertainties
- Controlling project schedule and be accountable for the delivery of the project
- Identifying key issues and develop solutions to complex problems
- Delivering quality infrastructure installed to our sustaining partners with the associated documentation
- Developing strong stakeholder relationships
- Leading global project management and improvement efforts
Qualifications
You should possess a Bachelor’s degree in an IT related discipline, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, with six years of direct experience or equivalent. Successful completion of the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or RCDD is preferred. Additional qualifications include:
- Minimum technical skills include proficiency with Microsoft* Office* and SharePoint* services, and competency with Microsoft Project
- Good English communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent leadership skills, show proven initiative and be self-sufficient
- Ability to work well with various levels of management and be an effective team player at all levels of the organization and be skilled in working across multicultural and regional boundaries
- Strong analytical, and project management skills including resource tracking and allocation, budget management, schedule development, complex problem solving, cross-discipline coordination and documentation
- Comprehensive knowledge of cable-plant, network and/or telecom, server standards and IT processes
- Experience with Corporate Services construction would be an added advantage
